Scabiosa columbaria Butterfly Blue

Compact, tidy mounds of deep green, basal leaves with wiry stems hold single, round, lavender-blue flowers. Long-blooming blue flowers attract butterflies to the garden’s edge or rock gardens. Both flowers and seedheads are lovely in arrangements. Prefers partial shade in hot Summer climates; avoid wet soil in Winter.
