Magnolia liliflora ‘Betty’
‘Betty’ is a cross between ‘Nigra’ and ‘Rosea’and noted for its compact, shrubby habit. It has slightly fragrant, purple-red flowers with white interiors that bloom from April through May that will sporadically rebloom throughout the summer. Green leaves will turn yellow in the fall. Use as a large flowering shrub or plant along borders to create a ‘hedge’.
